Why I created Sapphic Journeys
I have created this space to bring women together more intentionally, where connection comes first, friendship grows naturally, and travel becomes more than just a holiday. This is a space for lesbian and queer women, with a special focus on shared experiences for those in their 30s, 40s, and beyond who are ready to connect, explore, and experience the world together with purpose.
Sapphic Journeys was born from my own experiences of travel, community, and personal transformation. Over the years, I discovered that travel is about much more than visiting new places. It is about connection, confidence, friendship, and finding spaces where we can truly be ourselves. For many lesbians and queer women, finding those spaces is not always easy.
So, I have created Sapphic Journeys to bring together women who share the love of travel, adventure, culture and meaningful connections. Whether you are travelling solo, looking for new friendships, attending your first Pride event, attending a festival or simply exploring new destinations, I want this platform to feel welcoming, supportive and inspiring.
My vision is to build more than a travel platform. I want Sapphic Journeys to become a community where women can discover events, share experiences, learn from one another and create memories that last a lifetime. As someone who understands the challenges of starting over, rebuilding confidence, and creating a life that feels authentic, I believe that every journey matters. And sometimes the smallest step forward can lead to extraordinary experiences.

I have created Sapphic Journeys from a simple but deeply personal feeling that connection becomes more meaningful as we move through life, yet not always easy to find. Especially for us, lesbian and queer women, finding spaces where we can truly feel seen, included, safe and understood can still feel out of reach. And this community was created to change that.
Over the years, I have learned that some of the most meaningful moments in life come from genuine human connection. Not necessarily throughout big events, but through shared experiences, honest conversations and the feeling of being surrounded by people who truly understand you. For many lesbian and queer women, especially as we move through our 30s, 40s and beyond, finding those connections can become more challenging. Life changes, friendships evolve, people move away, relationships begin and end, and sometimes we find ourselves looking for community again.
Sapphic Journeys was created with that mission at its heart. My vision is to create more than a travel platform. I want to create a welcoming community where women can meet naturally, build genuine friendships and share experiences that create lasting memories. Whether that is attending a Pride event, enjoying a festival, exploring a new destination, joining a local gathering or simply becoming part of a supportive network, every connection matters.
I believe that everyone deserves spaces where they can feel comfortable being themselves without explanation, where diversity is celebrated and where belonging comes naturally. Sapphic Journeys is built on those values of openness, respect, belonging, inclusion and authentic connection. This is only the beginning of our journey and together with the incredible women who will join me, we will create a strong, supportive and inspiring community.
